What are your payment and cancellation policies? We ask that those booking public tours pay for their spot in full at the time of booking. For private tours, we can reserve your date with a deposit amount of $125. The balance will be charged a week prior to the tour. You will be notified in advance of the final charge.
Cancellations and reschedules are allowed seven or more days prior to the tour. Should you cancel your tour after this point we will not be able to issue you a refund. In the case of a major illness, death in the family, natural disaster or extreme weather we will offer you the option to reschedule your date or a full refund.
Where do you pick up for tours? Our tours include pick-up and drop-off service to anywhere one hour or less from our home-base in Saugerties, NY. This includes the Poughkeepsie Metro-North station, Rhinecliff and Hudson Amtrak stations and the Trailways bus station in Kingston, NY, as well as any Airbnb, inn or hotel options in the area. NYC based transportation may be available for groups larger than 25 — please contact us directly for more information.
How do I book my tour? Contact us directly to reserve your tour date. We will send you a secure invoice via Square to process the deposit amount, with the balance due a week prior to the tour.
How much is a private tasting tour? The private tasting tour rate is the same as the public tasting tour unless it is customized, in which case rates may vary.
How do I choose my tour date? Contact us directly for tour availability. We will always get back to you in 24 hours or less!
Can I bring my own food or beverages? You may bring snacks and non-alcoholic drinks and there will be food for purchase at our stops along the way. We will supply you with a snack bag that containing water, a bar, an apple and an apple cider donut or other local delicacy, but we do also recommend that you eat brunch or lunch prior to your tour.
Can I bring my pet or child? At this time, we are not able to accommodate pets or children on tasting tours. We can accommodate children only on private custom tours visiting cultural and historic destinations.
What if I can't drink beer or have a dietary restriction? Generally, tasting tours feature a distillery, winery and brewery but can be adjusted if there are dietary restrictions. Feel free to email us directly with any dietary concerns or questions.
What should I wear? We recommend wearing comfortable footwear as we will be walking around the grounds of some of our tasting destinations. If it has rained recently, be mindful that paths may be muddy and plan accordingly.
What if I'm pregnant? We welcome non-drinkers on our tours (this comes up often with our bachelorette parties) and so we offer a non-drinking tour rate of $99 per person.
Can I customize my tour? We are able to customize tours for private groups with eight or more people. These tours may include farms, historic or cultural destinations as well as tasting destinations in the Hudson Valley region. Contact us to let us know what you’re thinking and we’ll find a way make it happen! Rates may vary.
Can you help me book a hotel if I want to stay longer? As Event Atlas is also a travel agency, we are able to assist with additional bookings for your stay, ie: hotels in Hudson, car rentals or other services.
